Happy 6th Birthday to Jesse dog!

There is no one who brings me more happiness than my Jesse dog. He is a shining ball of puppy light and snuggles, who faithfully follows me around everywhere and loves me unconditionally.

Happy puppy birthday (6 years young!) to my special puppy friend!

Here's one of him as a tiny puppy --he's about 3 months old here:

I remember being really freaked out to have a dog at first, as my family had never had pets other than birds or fish, and getting used to having an alive thing running around who likes to be literally under your feet definitely took a bit of getting used to.

Having a dog has been an awesome experience for me though, despite any hard work or book/furniture Jesse may have eaten when he was a teething puppy.

Best parts of having a dog for me:

Someone is always happy to see you
You will always have a willing companion for walks
Your feet will always be warm in bed
You always have a reason to go home from work on time
Petting pups is super relaxing
All the unconditional love you could ever want!

What could be better?

My first GIF!

I have a lot of fun photos to share here in the next little while from a few walks, going to the Sculpture Park at the university with the Brownies, and some fun test shots from a photo shoot I'm doing in a few weeks, (and I even found a bunch from our Niagara Falls trip that I forgot to post!) but the sheer volume of photos and my giant to do list has meant that the editing is taking awhile.

So to tide you over, I took a few of these recent photos where I was playing with the "take a lot of pictures at once" function on my camera to get some cute photos of Jesse playing ball at the park.  I used Gickr to make this adorable gif!

Farewell Mr Sniffles 2003-2011

We just got the news that Zen's bunny Mr Sniffles, passed away :( Mr Sniffles went to live with one of the ladies who is a Brownie leader with me when he moved in with me last year, since dogs plus bunnies don't mix well in a small apartment, and they keep tons of bunnies and even have a bunny run!

Here are some pictures that she sent me of Mr. Sniffles when he first went to live with them, exploring his new habitat.





Mr Sniffles had a bit of a hard life--he and his lady bunny, Bunnamaroo, were abandonned in a room at Zen's old house by some terrible tenants, and he luckily found them and cared for them. Mr Sniffles had at least one litter of baby buns with his lady love, and they were very happy until she passed away due to crazy roommates of Zen's letting a dog into their room.













Farewell sweet bunny friend,  you will be missed! I'm glad that your last year was full of fun outside with other bunny friends!

Video Post - Puppies + Watermelon =cuteness

In addition to all the pictures from our picnic yesterday, I also snapped this cute video of Jesse eating some watermelon! I forgot how much this dog looooves watermelon--to the point where he was actually biting into it and chewing it up. It was all we could do to stop him from eating the rind as well - so cute!
