Eat Better and Cook More
In order to do this, we really need to do a big grocery shop, plan meals out better and shop on a set day, as I can personally put off going to the grocery store forever (walking of bus-ing to groceries is always a drag) but seriously, if I eat pizza one more day because it's easy, I might explode. Last night I took a few minutes, and made a big pot of tasty bean soup, which has gone a long way to improve my energy and mood.Sleep
I don't know about you, but it takes me awhile to relax enough so that I can sleep, and if I don't watch a show to relax after I get home or I don't read for a few minutes before bed, I'm going to have a poor sleep. Rituals are important, and I definitely have to make sure that I have some time to do them.Walks
The dog has been getting woefully short walks lately, and we haven't had a lot of park time which makes both of us sad (and lacking exercise!) I need to find some way to be able to get some energy to get out to the park, a decent walk or at least play in the yard for a bit.Rest and Relaxation
I took 20 minutes the other day to take a bubble bath the other day and I'd forgotten how recharging a quick soak can be! Also, it's impossible to do any work in the bath (don't challenge this belief!) and it was nice to disconnect for a little bit and just think some thoughts.Friends
I have literally been hiding in my house for the most part lately, trying to get things done or just being too tired to go out. I need to find at least a tiny bit of time to see a friend or two (or even that boy of mine) and spend a bit of time outside of my apartment. A change of scenery and a bit of a chat with a friend always does wonders for me.
What do you do on a daily or weekly basis to take care of yourself?
