Lots of exciting things happened this week. Some packages went out:
I started making a new quilt with some fabric from my Mom- I'm loving how the cotton prints and the batiks fabrics go together. I may add some strips of fabric to the sides to make it a bit bigger for a blanket for the couch.
I also finished one of the fingerless gloves I've been working on. I think it looks pretty good so far!
I also went and attempted to check out some of the Total Recall shoot happening here in Guelph, but couldn't get very close since I had the dog with me. I wish I'd had my camera with me last night, to snap a picture of the crazy burned out prop cars lining one of the side streets.
I snapped some pretty photos of my walk also
And in other epic-ness, we made another turducken this weekend with some friends, and then had a fancy dinner party, complete with playing of the Bean game (aka Bohnanza)
The boning (er, de-boning) commences. Many jokes about using a boning knife are made. Hilariousness ensues.
I seem to only have disembodied pictures of the turducken before we ate a whole bunch of it.
It was a whole day and night event that involved a lot of "good cheer" and I've been recovering from it all day:)
Here's hoping for a happy and restful week for you all!

Hehehe, a turducken! That is ambitious! And I bet it was also delicious! :)
ReplyDeleteI just love that quilt you are working on! Such pretty colors!
@HazelandMare
ReplyDeleteyou're right! It was super delicious:) It was like 5 or 6 hours of work to prepare though!
Thanks re: the quilt! I love all the colours so much, which is I think why my mom saved me this fabric particularly:)
