I'm feeling pretty all of the place today with busy thoughts taking up my brain, so I thought I'd just share some things on my mind today.

Sad news:
I am so saddened by the passing of NDP (New Democrat Party) Leader Jack Layton. I was just reading his goodbye letter last night and crying a lot over his beautiful words and advice to us all. Some of it, especially the advice to those with cancer and the need to spend as much time as possible with family and make the time count was particularly touching.
Clumsy news:
I went out at lunch for an ice cream cone ($2 Cone day, woo!) and somehow managed to knock the ice cream off the cone...and catch it with my face, hands and shirt. You better believe I stuck it back on the cone and ate it after all that, but definitely went home to change my shirt, as I was sticky and smelled like peanut butter. There are some benefits to living across the street from work, and that includes not having to stay in a sticky shirt all day!
Cleaning news:
I know this is not a newsflash, but it is hard to keep your apartment clean and enough clothes washed to have something to wear. Oh and to walk the dog enough, and eat good things and get a reasonable amount of sleep. I seem to have a lot of trouble with this. Am I the only one? Help!
Earthquakes!
We didn't feel anything here but I guess our business partners in Washington DC got sent home from work. I never get sent home from work, BOO! *stompsfoot*
Again though, as I live across the street, I doubt that would make a lot of difference
Exciting news:
Sponsor Love for me from Bonjour Miss Mary
I'm featured on We Heart Shops! One of the items from my Etsy shop is currently sponsored here (it's my Two Hearts photography prints) with a few more of my items from my Etsy shop appearing later this week! If you're a small business and haven't added your link to the We Heart Shops directory, you should check it out and do so!
More Exciting news
I'm going to visit my parents in Peterborough for the weekend for the Peterborough Folk Festival! I'm hoping to meet up with some old friends, family and listen to some good musics! I'm also hoping to meet up with some fancy bloggers and twitter folk while I'm there, if our stars happen to align:) I'll be sure to share if I do!
Our company is shutting down on Friday afternoon to go to Ribfest and eat ribs! YESSSSS!! I was a vegetarian for about 10 years, so I aim to enjoy me some ribs! Last year was my first time eating them since I was a teenager, and I enjoyed them lots:)
Even more exciting news I can't tell you about yet
I have some other exciting things on the back burner that I can't share yet until the time is right--but I'm running around arranging things and driving myself crazy doing so! I'm sitting on my hands trying not to tell you all!
So instead, I remind you of the awesomeness of Button Swapping! Come join the swap and share a guest post or a giveaway item if you're so inclined :)
Anything particular on your mind today?

I was so bummed that I didn't feel the earthquake! My sister lives in Boston and felt her house shake for 30 seconds! Also excited to hear wHat the good news is!
ReplyDelete@Caitlin Wowee, that's pretty crazy! I'm a little bit jealous I didn't feel it either, I won't lie:)
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm excited to share the news, but it is sorta on the cusp of good and may not happen at the moment. Trying not to get hopes up...but still sorta excited too.
